General Discussion / War Thunder - Simulator Mode Training
« on: April 07, 2015, 08:58:04 PM »

If possible, it'd be interesting to set up a private match this Saturday, which is the 11th, with the sole purpose of tutoring people. Of course, we will be practicing in Simulator mode. Teams would be split into whichever configuration, preferably those with higher tier craft on opposite teams. The rounds are composed of head-to-head duels, pitting players one on one. The goal is to get people comfortable in the cockpit and to overcome flat spins, or the dreaded Fw190 Death Spin. Additionally, as for the clan's main faction, it seems to have a been a slight split between the Luftwaffe and the RAF. Since these are opposite factions, Allies and Axis forces, I see no issue in focusing efforts between both these airforces when the opportunity arises.

Secondly, I'd like to also provide a basic guide as to peripherals available for purchase. Some have already invested in joysticks and other equipment. Given the nature of the Simulator Mode, a joystick is without a doubt the control platform most preferable. Although, the mouse and keyboard is still viable. For those looking to get a Joystick, there are several to choose from, ranging from inexpensive to full metal replicas of actually aircraft. For low tier, investigate the Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas. For mid tier sticks, put your sights on the Saitek X52(pro) and slightly newer and more expensive Saitek X55. If you want to sink a lot of cash on your stick, direct yourself towards the Thrustmaster Warthog Full Metal Hotas replica. It is very unlikely anyone will want to get seperate rudder pedals, though if so, explore the CH Pro Pedals, or the more expensive Saitek Pro Combat Pedals. Lastly, being able to look around ingame is an impassible advantage. There are homemade head-tracking solutions available, such as using homemade Tri-LED setups along with a FreeTrack hook into TrackIR software. These solutions are all dependent of the camera's resolution, IR filter and frames-per-second. If you wish to get the all in on package, the TrackIR 5 is the official supported device. It is compatible with almost any game you'd expect, such as Elite: Dangerous or Star Citizen, unlike the FreeTrack solution which requires to fool the game into thinking it is TrackIR.

If you'd like to add something, simply post it into the thread as to possibly help any future readers.

[EMP] Recruitment / New random players - Why they are here
« on: January 17, 2015, 06:55:47 PM »
With the recent release of the H1Z1 early access, we've been having an influx of new players visiting the teamspeak server. If you meet any of these people who don't have the friend tag and are acting unruly, feel free to hand a kick/ban to that user.

Any users with the friend tag are players which we've agreed on having around. Some of these new users might even stick around, who knows.

First Player Shooters / Project Reality Bootcamp
« on: December 30, 2014, 01:38:53 PM »
As you all know - or hell, most of you probably don't - the Project Reality WWII expansion is near. We still own a Project Reality server license and are going to use it in order to run a Bootcamp server. A Bootcamp server, in Project Reality terms, means we're going to using the Test_Bootcamp map. This map features a gun range (up to 1000m), a vehicle testing facility and a village combat simulation. Also, Battlefield 2 maps come in layers, which means the same map can have different configurations. For the Bootcamp, this means every layers has different factions in order to allow use to get familiar with which ever faction currently in Project Reality.

We can set a date for testing at some point down the road. In the mean time, the download link can be found here:
To install the map, extract the folder "test_bootcamp" into your "C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\levels"
The server will be password protected since it's a custom map. Later we can switch the map rotation and get a regular WWII server running or a base Project Reality server with the Vietnam map rotation as well. We'll just have to see!

Space Games / Elite: Dangerous, EMP wide involvement!
« on: December 15, 2014, 01:17:54 PM »
Elite: Dangerous, a space simulation game dangerously similar to our infamous Star Citizen. It's launching this tuesday for 50$. Our current plan is to host a Christmas related event within [EMP] which involves us all starting on the same day. Anyone caught cheating, or starting without others, will be KOS. Give Shock a chance, not all operators operate at the same operational rhythm.

Current pilots: Nate and myself.

General Discussion / Arena Commander V0.9!!!!
« on: September 12, 2014, 09:03:53 AM »

They're adding private matches and a friend list!!! Perfect time to play as a group and start practicing and homing in our skills!

The year is 2089. The Earth is in ruins from two major nuclear wars. Civilization has collapsed and the majority of mankind has been wiped out. Each day is a struggle to find food and water to live, weapons for defense, and gear to withstand the harsh unforgiving wasteland that was once earth. The city centers and areas once called home and work are now populated by grotesque mutated humans, minds rotten from radiation and sickness. Bandits fight for control of what’s left, executing everyone they come across or using them for slave labor and food. This is the world as it exists today, there is no law. Kill or be killed. Survive or Die.

Now I know what your thinking: "Another fucking zombie game which Wing has brought to our attention!" Quite frankly that is exactly what this is minus the whole focused on zombies thing. Just hang in there, this game is currently boasting features like:
  • Large Persistent World - Explore a massive world with a playable space of over 64km²
  • Open World PvP - No safe zones or game rules exist allowing you to kill anyone at any time for any reason.
  • Random World Encounters - Dynamic events occur throughout the world creating unique and constantly changing gameplay opportunities.
  • Weapon Customization - Customize every aspect of your weapon. Change the scope or add a silencer plus many more options.
  • Vehicle Customization - Add armor to your vehicles or increase storage capacity. Make your vehicles faster and stronger.
  • Dynamic Weather System - Experience a more immersive and naturally changing environment.
  • Comprehensive Inventory System - Gather items during your adventures and store it in vehicles, tents and underground caches to guard it from other players.

The game is currently in it's "Closed Alpha". Accepting pre-orders for their current two copies of the game which both offer the "Alpha" access in some time near June. Both packs give you: Alpha, Beta and full release access. Although they have said: "Prices will increase as we get closer to the Alpha release time." Additionally, currently both packs are of a very small price: 15$ or 25$. The cheapest being the core, all in one package, but the second being the Founder's Club. As the game is still in development they haven't promised or revealed any of the packages' bonuses as they don't exactly know what they will be in the future.

Lastly, it's engine! Cryengine 3. Nuff said. Though, you can read Crytek's latest news update featuring the game:

Also, I've been talking to one of the Devs about a donate page. Trying to validate collective donations (5$ dollars from anyone who wants to) which would give perks to the whole clan.
I encourage you to explore their website:
